Procode Raises $10M to Bring Its AI-powered Medical Billing Services to Every Surgical Specialty

Three Companies, One Platform

The $10 million will fund two additional acquisitions, to be announced in coming months. Procode intends to follow the same playbook it used with The Auctus Group: acquire the best surgical billing companies and layer in Procode’s AI to drive better outcomes for surgeons:

  • Procode: AI coding for surgery that automates the coding workflow from charge capture to submission, reduces coding-related denials, and fully captures reimbursements
  • Procollect: An operating system for billing teams with native reporting, AI support and automation that reduces days in AR and accelerates reimbursements
  • Auctus Provider App: An app that puts real-time financial data at Procode’s clients’ fingertips

“We’re on track to double The Auctus Group’s revenue and quintuple its EBITDA margin,” said Jeff Cripe, CEO of Procode. “That matters because we bill on contingency — we only get paid when our clients get paid — so our growth is proof our AI is putting more dollars in providers’ pockets, not just automating paperwork. Large health systems have had incredible technology companies innovating on their most pressing problems for years. We’re proud to innovate on behalf of the massive, long tail of RCM companies serving private practice surgeons.”

Procode AI Outperforms Professional Coders and Major LLMs

The retrospective comparative study published in PRS Global Open, “Artificial Intelligence for Automated CPT Coding in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Using a Fine-Tuned Hybrid LLM,” compared Procode AI’s fine-tuned hybrid LLM against OpenAI GPT-5, Google Gemini 2.5 Pro, Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.5, and external professional auditors in reviewing operative reports at three different difficulty levels. A total of 120 case reports were analyzed (40 Easy difficulty, 40 Medium, 40 High).

Procode achieved 86.7% overall accuracy — more than double the best-performing LLM (OpenAI, 35.8%) and more than twice the accuracy of human auditors (42.5%). On easy cases, Procode was perfect: 100%. On the hardest cases (defined as including 4 or more CPT codes), it achieved 80% while general-purpose LLMs ranged from 5% to 12.5%.

“Our research shows that AI trained specifically for surgical coding can reliably outperform both humans and generic models,” said Kameron Rezzadeh, MD, FACS, cofounder and Chief Medical Officer of Procode. “That’s a step change in what billing accuracy looks like for private practice surgeons.”

Health Velocity Capital Leads Series A

Grant Blevins, Partner at Health Velocity Capital, said: “Over our careers, we have built deep expertise in revenue cycle management, developed relationships with exceptional billing practice owners, and grown increasingly convinced that this market is ready for a company that can finally deliver true end-to-end automation. Procode is uniquely positioned to do that by giving small billing practice owners a best-in-class AI strategy no traditional buyer can match, while preserving the specialty expertise that made their businesses valuable and building the category-defining RCM platform for private practice surgeons.”

ProphetX Raises $35M to Scale America’s First Federally Regulated Sports-Native Prediction Market and B2B Platform

NEW YORK, July 28, 2026 — ProphetX, America’s first federally regulated sports-native prediction market, today announced the close of a $35 million fundraising round to accelerate its product development, boost liquidity across markets, and scale its B2B platform and partnerships.

The round drew participation from venture, sports, and proprietary trading firms, reflecting broad institutional confidence in ProphetX’s business model. The round was led by Parlay Capital and Data Point Capital, with participation from FDJ Ventures, Greenwave Ventures, Connexa Capital, Impellent Ventures, the Operating Group, and Sharp Alpha Advisors. Chicago Trading Company Ventures, Belvedere Trading, principals at White Swan Data, principals at Consolidated Trading, and Ematiq also made direct investments, signaling significant interest from the professional trading community in the emerging regulated prediction market space.

“On the heels of ProphetX’s recent nationwide launch and CFTC approval to operate as America’s first federally regulated sports-native prediction market, this raise gives us the fuel to meet the surging demand from both consumers and institutions to participate in this new asset class,” said ProphetX CEO and Co-Founder Dean Sisun. “Prediction markets are now a permanent fixture of the American financial landscape, and ProphetX intends to lead them.”

ProphetX previously operated as a sweepstakes platform, and following a successful FIFA World Cup as a federally regulated prediction market, has seen core KPIs including active users and assets on platform increase 50% in its first 30 days of operating. ProphetX is targeting a tripling of trading volume in 2026 driven by B2B partnerships, expanded institutional market coverage, and its proprietary Request for Quote (RFQ) Parlay Mechanism. This raise positions ProphetX to capture a significant share of the fast-growing B2B event contracts market.

Unlike sportsbooks, which are single-dealer models designed to profit when consumers lose, ProphetX is a true peer-to-peer exchange where users set their own prices, trade directly against one another, and pay a thin, transparent commission. ProphetX’s regulated market structure includes an RFQ Parlay Mechanism, which enables users to construct and price multi-event combinations directly with counterparties. The mechanism mirrors institutional trading protocols used in traditional financial markets, delivering flexibility, transparency, and competitive pricing to event-based contracts.

“We are excited to support Dean and the ProphetX team with additional capital to accelerate their next phase of growth as America’s first federally regulated, sports-native prediction market,” said Greg Buonocore, CEO and Managing Partner at Parlay Capital Holdings. “ProphetX is building the industry-leading infrastructure that will define how everyday Americans and institutional investors alike participate in sports prediction markets.”

“ProphetX has established itself as a pioneer in the prediction markets ecosystem, and we are thrilled to participate in this funding round,” said Scott Savitz, Founder and Managing Partner of Data Point Capital. “The company’s innovative approach, combined with its recent CFTC approval and increasing interest in event-based markets, positions it well for long-term growth. We look forward to supporting the team as they continue to execute on their vision.”

About ProphetX:
Founded in 2018, ProphetX is America’s first sports-native prediction market. The company is a regulated U.S. exchange for event-driven contracts, built on a sports-focused foundation and designed to expand across a broad range of event markets. Its mission is to create the world’s most trusted and innovative marketplace where anyone can participate in event outcomes.

Credible Data Raises $10 Million to Bring Trusted Business Context to Enterprise AI Data

Open-Source Malloy-Powered Platform Captures the Meaning of Enterprise Data, Delivers It As Context at Runtime to AI Agents, APIs, Analytics Tools and More

BOULDER, Colo., July 28, 2026 — Credible Data, the trusted business context engine for enterprise AI, today announced a significant acceleration in the scale-up of its platform following a $10 million seed round from Gradient, SignalFire and K5 Global, along with angel investors including G2 cofounder & CEO Godard Abel, pandas creator and Composed Ventures General Partner Wes McKinney, Snowplow Analytics CEO and co-founder Alex Dean, SV Angel and others. Built on Malloy, an open-source semantic modeling language, Credible’s platform turns organization-specific governed metrics, definitions, entities, and relationships into executable business context that AI agents and applications can query, reuse and trust at scale.

Enterprises have made rapid progress giving AI agents access to unstructured and semi-structured data through documents and knowledge bases. Much of the data that actually runs the business, though, still lives in data warehouses such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake or Postgres. For AI to use this structured data reliably, it needs more than access to rows and columns; it needs the governed business meaning behind the data, including how metrics are defined, how entities relate, which rules apply, and who is allowed to see what. Without that business context, AI agents can produce inconsistent or incorrect answers from the same underlying data, undermining enterprise trust in AI.

Credible Data’s context engine solves this problem by analyzing how an enterprise actually uses its data – informed by real queries and edge cases surfaced during use – to generate a universal, governable semantic model of organization-specific business context using Malloy. Credible Data’s platform makes all of this context available to AI agents, analytics tools and other systems at runtime, enabling organizations to achieve trusted results from every element of their tech stacks while avoiding vendor lock-in and ensuring industry-leading flexibility and agility.

Credible Data CEO and founder Kyle Nesbit said, “Every organization attaches its own meaning to its data — even a term as familiar as ‘revenue’ can mean completely different things from one company to the next. AI can’t be trusted with enterprise data until it understands that meaning. The winners in enterprise AI will be the ones who deliver their data’s meaning as context wherever decisions get made, without locking themselves into a single vendor’s stack. That’s what we’ve built at Credible Data.”

Credible Data takes Malloy’s semantic modeling foundation to enterprise scale, adding the security, role-based access controls, governance, reliability, auditability, and operational safeguards required for mission-critical analytics and high-volume agentic AI workloads.

Gradient General Partner Zach Bratun-Glennon said, “Existing data warehouse and pipeline solutions were never built for AI. As enterprises rush to deploy AI throughout their organizations, they are finding their ability to trust this new technology undermined by conflicting outputs stemming from a lack of consistent meaning applied to their data. Credible Data has built a platform that solves this challenge with unprecedented agility and flexibility, and which we believe will be fundamental in finally achieving trustworthy AI for enterprises.”

Credible Data has assembled an exceptional team with deep industry expertise to pursue its mission. Nesbit previously led Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at Google Cloud and spearheaded Looker’s integration into that platform; prior to that he led Forward Deployed Engineering at Gradient. Additionally, the company’s Head of Product, James Swirhun, spent eight years at Google working on AI/ML products including Gemini; prior to that he was a consultant at Bain & Company.

Peter Nummerdor, SVP of Product for VideoAmp, a Credible Data customer, said, “Our planning and measurement drives decisions by some of the largest companies in the advertising industry, so every insight our AI gives has to be consistent, defensible and grounded in fact. Credible gives our AI systems the same governed understanding of our metrics that our best analysts carry in their heads. That’s what moved us from experimenting with AI to putting it in front of customers with confidence.”

About Credible Data
Credible Data is the engine for trusted business context on enterprise data. Built on Malloy, an open-source semantic modeling language, Credible turns governed metrics, definitions, entities, and relationships into executable context that AI agents and applications can query, reuse, and trust.

Aurenar Closes Oversubscribed $5.7M Seed Round Led by the Go Red for Women Venture Fund™ and Solas BioVentures

Funding accelerates advancement of first-in-class non-invasive neuromodulation platform to transform the arc of stroke care in ICUs

ST. LOUIS, July 28, 2026Aurenar, developer of a non-invasive, single-use neuromodulation platform to reduce life-threatening complications in intensive care unit (ICU) patients, today announced the close of an oversubscribed $5.7 million seed financing round, co-led by the Go Red for Women Venture Fund™, part of American Heart Association Ventures™ — the American Heart Association’s venture capital arm — and Solas BioVentures, with additional participation from BJC Health and Kaleida Capital. Proceeds from the investment round will fund continued advancement toward pivotal trials, including final device development, verification and validation (V&V) testing, and regulatory submissions to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Aurenar’s V-Link™ platform, which recently received breakthrough device designation from the FDA, delivers transauricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) to modulate the body’s inflammatory response to such conditions as subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). SAH alone accounts for roughly 7% of all strokes worldwide, leaving approximately 40% of survivors with permanent disability. Initially developed to respond to stroke and broader neurocritical-care challenges, V-Link has the potential to expand into additional high-impact indications in critically ill patients.

Inflammation is a central driver of the secondary injury that worsens outcomes in stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and other critical illnesses. Modulating this cascade non-invasively in the ICU addresses a significant unmet need — and a meaningful opportunity to change recovery trajectories for many patients experiencing the most acute, high-risk conditions that also increase hospital costs.

The company was founded based on research from Dr. Eric Leuthardt, Dr. Anna Huguenard, and colleagues at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. The randomized SAH trial they conducted demonstrated that taVNS reduced moderate-to-severe vasospasm by more than 40%, lowered pro-inflammatory cytokines, and improved functional outcomes. A companion analysis also showed a 20% drop in 30-day modifiable hospitalization costs directly linked to the method. A separate large-vessel occlusion (LVO) ischemic stroke trial showed consistent anti-inflammatory effects and a clean safety profile.

V-Link’s simple, wireless design makes it easier for neuro-intensive care physicians and ICU nursing staff to use the device without extensive training and supports faster onboarding and clinical adoption.

“We are excited to support Aurenar because stroke is a major cause of mortality and long-term disability in women, who face a disproportionately higher prevalence of subarachnoid hemorrhage. Their V-Link product promises to offer a pathway to improve recovery for all patients and especially for women who often experience higher rates of post-stroke complications,” said Tracy Warren, Sr. Managing Director, Go Red for Women Venture Fund, part of the American Heart Association Ventures family of funds. “The potential for use with other conditions that trigger the body’s inflammatory response, which also disproportionately affect women, makes V-Link the kind of scalable innovation our fund was created to accelerate.”

“This seed close marks a pivotal moment for Aurenar,” said Dr. Leuthardt, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aurenar and a professor of neurosurgery at WashU Medicine. “With the support of the Go Red for Women Venture Fund, Solas BioVentures, and our broader investor group, we are positioned to advance from early-stage neurotechnology to a pivotal-trial-ready company. Every dollar of this round is committed to milestones that help us improve outcomes for patients in the most critical moments of their care.”

“At WashU, we are reinforcing pathways that convert bold scientific ideas into real-world solutions,” said Doug Frantz, PhD, Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Commercialization, Washington University. “This neuromodulation platform is yet another example of the strength of WashU’s innovation ecosystem, and Dr. Leuthardt’s progress with Aurenar is bringing us closer to delivering meaningful advances to some of our most critically ill patients.”

Claros Technologies Raises $55 Million Series B Financing to Accelerate Global Commercialization of PFAS Destruction Technology

Financing to meet rapidly growing commercial demand for proprietary ClarosTechUV™ technology and support expansion of ClarosLabs™ mobile laboratory, following breakthrough PFAS groundwater remediation results and tightening global PFAS regulations.

MINNEAPOLIS, July 28, 2026 — Claros Technologies, Inc. (Claros), a global leader in destruction and analytical solutions for PFAS — per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly known as “forever chemicals” — today announced the successful closing of a $55 million Series B financing, inclusive of the company’s previously announced convertible note financing. The financing will accelerate the global commercialization of the proprietary ClarosTechUV™ PFAS Destruction System, expand ClarosLabs™, strengthen manufacturing and operations, and support growing demand from industrial manufacturers, remediation firms, utilities, and government agencies seeking permanent PFAS destruction and advanced analytical solutions.

The Series B financing was led by Treehouse Family Capital LLC, with participation from Daikin America, Inc., Veralto, Bush Foundation, Nord Asset Management, and Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, together with continued support from existing investors. The financing brought together a diverse group of institutional and strategic investors from across the industrial, environmental, and technology ecosystem, reflecting broad recognition of Claros’ commercial momentum, differentiated technology platform, and the significant global opportunity emerging around permanent PFAS destruction and analytical solutions.

Claros’ technology supports the continued use of PFAS in critical applications across key industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, among others, while enabling the destruction of PFAS at an industrial scale. The result is a solution that advances both innovation and environmental stewardship.

The financing will support expanded manufacturing capacity, additional commercial deployments throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, continued product development, expansion of ClarosLabs™, strategic hiring across engineering and commercial operations, and ongoing investment in customer support and application development. The financing positions Claros to meet accelerating global demand as industries and governments increasingly transition from PFAS management toward permanent destruction technologies.

Michelle Bellanca, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Claros Technologies, underscored the significance of the company’s recent momentum and the capital secured to support its next phase of growth:

“Over the past year, Claros has crossed the threshold from breakthrough technology to successful commercial reality. Our work with major industrial manufacturers has demonstrated that permanent destruction of all targeted PFAS species can operate reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively at commercial scale, while our recent groundwater remediation results have shown that the same technology performs exceptionally well across complex environmental applications. Coupled with the rapid evolution and implementation of PFAS regulations around the world, these milestones have fundamentally expanded our opportunity. This financing gives us the resources to accelerate commercial deployments globally, continue advancing our technology, and help customers address one of the world’s most significant environmental challenges.”

Jack Cogen, Manager of Treehouse Family Capital LLC, added:

“The most exciting technology companies eventually reach an inflection point where the question is no longer whether the technology works, but how quickly it can be deployed at scale. We believe Claros has reached that point. Claros has demonstrated that its technology is effective under real-world commercial conditions. Claros has built an integrated platform that combines PFAS destruction with analytical services and is scaling commercially at exactly the right time. With regulatory momentum accelerating around the world, we see an opportunity to help build one of the defining environmental technology companies of the next decade and beyond.”

Claros has achieved several key commercial milestones that have established ClarosTechUV™ as the leading field-proven PFAS destruction technology. In December 2025, the company, in partnership with Daikin America, successfully completed one of the world’s largest in-field PFAS destruction demonstrations of industrial process water while achieving greater than 99.99% destruction across long-, short-, and ultra-short chain PFAS compounds. In April 2026, Claros demonstrated ≥99.99% destruction of targeted PFAS compounds in groundwater remediation applications using concentrate derived from approximately one million gallons (3.8 million liters) of groundwater, validating the scalability of the technology across both industrial manufacturing and environmental remediation applications.

Together, these milestones mark Claros’ transition from commercial validation to broad market deployment, positioning the company to commercially offer its integrated PFAS destruction and analytical services platform across industrial manufacturing, environmental remediation, and regulatory compliance markets worldwide.

The financing comes as the global regulatory landscape surrounding PFAS continues to evolve rapidly. In Europe, policymakers are advancing broad PFAS restrictions under the proposed REACH Regulation framework while evaluating sector-specific exemptions for essential uses. In the United States, federal and state agencies continue expanding drinking water standards, industrial discharge requirements, and remediation programs. As these regulatory requirements become more comprehensive, organizations are increasingly seeking not only permanent PFAS destruction technologies, but also advanced analytical services capable of accurately detecting, quantifying, and documenting PFAS to support regulatory compliance. Together, these converging trends are driving demand for both the ClarosTechUV™ PFAS destruction technology and ClarosLabs™, the company’s PFAS analytical services offering.
