AidenAIexpands its Data Services to take enterprises from fragmented data to answers their business and AI can act on
PRINCETON, N.J., Oct. 13, 2026 — Ask an AI agent which products are losing margin, and it will answer instantly. Whether that answer can be trusted depends on which data is authoritative, which metric definition is approved, and whether figures are current.
AidenAI, an AI builder company, today announced an expansion of AidenAI Data Services to address this problem. The services take enterprises from fragmented data estates to governed answers that business teams and AI agents can act on.
Gartner predicts that through 2026, organizations will abandon 60% of AI projects unsupported by AI-ready data. For most enterprises, the barrier to AI value is no longer the model. It is the data underneath it.
AidenAI Data Services starts with the business question that needs a trusted answer, then addresses everything between that question and source systems:
The foundation: The right platform for each workload, with data products built around quality, lineage and ownership.
The meaning: One approved set of metrics, entities and business rules that people and AI use consistently.
The answer: Governed analytics, search and conversational access, with every answer traceable to its source and definition.
Keeping it trusted: Ongoing operations covering quality, freshness, cost and usage.
AidenAI’s AI accelerators handle volume work: profiling sources, drafting definitions for business owners to approve, and generating quality rules and tests for each data product. AidenAI’s data experts direct the work and make every decision that matters.
Engagements start from proven patterns. Client data stays under client controls, and every model, contract and rule produced belongs to the client.
“AI has made an old problem impossible to ignore. Enterprises have invested heavily in data platforms, yet teams still debate which number is right, and now their AI repeats that confusion at scale. We don’t start with technology; we start with the answer the business needs and make sure it can be trusted. That’s what turns AI from a pilot into something a business runs on,” said Srini Kamadi, CEO, AidenAI.
Enterprises can begin with an AI data readiness check: a fixed-scope assessment of one business domain, delivering a view of readiness, approved definitions, and a plan to a first trusted answer.
Round of more than $6 million, led by Colle Capital Partners with support from Orlando Health Ventures, will fund completion of Sensydia’s ongoing ACOUSTIC‑1 study for the Cardiac Performance System (CPS™) and preparation for commercial launch
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13, 2026 — Sensydia, a clinical-stage medical technology company advancing non-invasive cardiac assessment, today announced an oversubscribed initial closing of more than $6 million in its latest financing, led by Colle Capital Partners with substantial support from Orlando Health Ventures. Proceeds will carry Sensydia’s Cardiac Performance System (CPS™) through its ACOUSTIC‑1 study to FDA authorization while supporting commercial launch preparation.
Sensydia’s Cardiac Performance System (CPS™) is designed to give clinicians pulmonary pressure assessments in almost any setting, without the need for invasive catheterization.
CPS assesses cardiac function by acquiring acoustic and electrical signals and analyzing them using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. CPS is designed to provide clinicians in almost any setting with pulmonary pressure assessments, without the need for invasive catheterization, to help identify congestion and guide diagnosis and treatment in heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.
In July 2026, a new Category III CPT® code, 1036T, took effect for non-invasive hemodynamic assessment built on three key elements: passively acquired acoustic and electrical signals; augmentative algorithmic analysis; and physician review, interpretation, and integration into clinical care — the same approach on which CPS is built.
“The most important medical technology companies create categories rather than compete in them,” said Bill Hawkins, retired Chairman and CEO of Medtronic and an advisor to Sensydia. “Sensydia has the makings of one: a new way to bring pressure information to the point of care, and the foundation to scale it.”
“Cardiologists treating heart failure need the right metric, in the right place, at the right time. We built CPS to give clinicians objective pressure information in the office, where therapy decisions are made,” said Anthony Arnold, CEO of Sensydia. “With Colle Capital and Orlando Health Ventures behind us, we are focused on bringing CPS to the market rapidly to help patients suffering from heart failure.”
“Sensydia built CPS on catheterization data, the clinical gold standard, at a scale few companies attempt,” said Victoria Grace, Founding Partner of Colle Capital Partners. “That discipline, together with a CPT code already in place, gives us real confidence in this team. We are proud to lead this financing and to back Sensydia.”

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 13, 2026 — D2 Capital Advisors (D2CA) today announced that it has arranged and closed a $35,830,000 construction financing package for Somerset Phase II, a 170-unit multifamily development at 2202 E. Somerset Street in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia and the next phase of Riverwards Group’s Somerset Station master plan. The capital stack comprises a $19,870,000 senior construction loan and $15,960,000 in Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing. D2CA arranged both tranches on behalf of Riverwards Group, led by principals Mo Rushdy and Larry McKnight, P.E., LEED-GA.
Somerset Station, Phase I
The senior construction loan was provided by Silver Heights Capital and the C-PACE financing came from Nuveen Green Capital, a leading provider of C-PACE financing. Together, the two tranches fund construction of the 146,158-square-foot project, which will deliver a unit mix of 76 studios, 38 one-bedrooms, and 56 two-bedrooms, along with on-site garage parking. The project benefits from a grandfathered 10-year, 100 percent real estate tax abatement and is being built by Urban Renewal Builders, Riverwards Group’s affiliate general contractor. Both the senior loan and the C-PACE financing were structured on a non-recourse basis. Combined with more than $10 million in sponsor equity, the financing supports a total project cost of approximately $46 million.
The transaction was led by Jack Cortese and David Frankel of D2 Capital Advisors, who structured and arranged the layered senior debt and C-PACE financing to maximize proceeds and minimize the sponsor’s overall cost of capital.
“Somerset Phase II shows what a proven sponsor and a proven site can do for a financing,” said Cortese. “Riverwards built Phase I on this same site, delivered it, and sold it to the Philadelphia Housing Authority, so Silver Heights and Nuveen were underwriting a team and a product that had already delivered here. Layer in a thinning supply pipeline ahead of an early 2028 delivery, and we were able to put together a $35.8 million capital stack that fits the business plan and sets Riverwards up well for what comes next at Somerset Station.”
Somerset Phase II sits in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, immediately adjacent to Phase I of Somerset Station, the 220-unit first phase of Riverwards Group’s master plan. Phase I is complete, fully occupied, and was sold to the Philadelphia Housing Authority in May 2025 for $58.1 million. The closing of Phase II builds directly on that momentum, fully financing 170 additional units for delivery in early 2028 and positioning the master plan for a future third phase. The timing is favorable, as Philadelphia issued fewer residential building permits in 2024 than in any year since 2013, leaving a thinner pipeline of new competitive supply behind the current wave of deliveries.
Riverwards Group has served as a full-service developer across Philadelphia’s Riverwards neighborhoods since 2009, with a track record of more than 1,500 homes and multifamily units delivered, including Somerset Station, Kensington Courts, Avenue V, N5 Square, The Lenora, and numerous other developments. The firm maintains a vertically integrated platform spanning development, design, and construction.
“We completed significant site work at the property during Phase I, so Phase II was positioned for vertical construction to begin quickly,” said Mo Rushdy, Principal of Riverwards Group. “It was critical for us to get credit for the value we created through that site work and the Phase II entitlements. Jack and the D2CA team made sure we captured that value and delivered proceeds that align with our business plan. Our Riverwards projects have been a reliable source of naturally occurring affordable housing in Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, and Phase II will continue that.”
“This financing demonstrates the benefits of combining senior debt with C-PACE financing,” said Seth Greenwald, Managing Partner of Silver Heights Capital. “Our longstanding relationship with Nuveen Green Capital and experience executing multiple transactions together helped deliver a streamlined capital stack, lower overall cost of capital, and greater certainty of execution for the Sponsor. We are pleased to partner with Nuveen, D2 Capital Advisors, and Riverwards Group on this transaction.”
“We were proud to partner with D2 Capital Advisors to provide C-PACE financing, administered through the Philadelphia Energy Authority, for this exciting new multifamily property in Philadelphia,” said Mike Doty, Senior Director of Originations, Nuveen Green Capital. “Through C-PACE, Riverwards Group was able to access a significant non-recourse capital layer at a competitive fixed rate, reducing its overall cost of capital and helping make the project financially viable while delivering much-needed housing to this growing area of the city. This transaction underscores how C-PACE, as a flexible and cost-effective financing platform, can be a crucial part of a capital stack and can positively impact construction financing by bridging the gap between senior debt and equity.”

SINGAPORE, Oct. 13, 2026 — NEU Battery Materials, a Singapore-based material security company focused on recycling lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, announced the oversubscribed close of its US$7.6 million funding round co-led by Shift4Good, a global venture capital platform investing in the decarbonisation and resilience of transport and energy, and SGInnovate, a Singapore government-backed Deep Tech investor and ecosystem builder. The funding comes off the back of NEU’s newly commissioned 1,300-ton-per-year Singapore factory, marking a major step from technology development to industrial scale-up. The capital will support the ramp-up of producing battery-grade lithium from LFP feedstock such as cathode production scraps and end of life black mass, and the company’s international expansion.
The round saw participation from new investors including Lotus Singapore Group and M7 Holdings, as well as existing backers such as Paragon Ventures I.
The funding comes as demand for LFP batteries surges globally, where LFP accounts for over 90% of battery energy storage systems worldwide, and over 55% of all EV batteries, according to the International Energy Agency. As battery deployments and manufacturing continue to grow worldwide, scalable recycling solutions are becoming increasingly important to strengthen industrial sovereignty and secure critical lithium supply chains.
“Our vision is to build cleaner and more resilient lithium supply chains for the ongoing energy transition,” said Bryan Oh, Co-founder and CEO of NEU Battery Materials. “The commissioning of our Singapore plant is an important milestone in that journey. The funding will catalyse the scale-up and deployment of our modular LFP recycling technology, enabling us to expand the production of vital battery-grade lithium, and at progressively lower costs to our customers.”
NEU has developed the world’s first patented electrochemical redox targeting technology designed specifically to close the loop on LFP batteries, making lithium recovery scalable, cost-efficient and more sustainable. Its process is driven by electricity and water, and uses regenerative chemicals generating less waste and reducing environmental impact compared with conventional recycling methods such as hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy, with emissions up to 83% lower.
“LFP battery recycling is both a decarbonisation and an industrial sovereignty imperative,” said Sebastien Guillaud, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Shift4Good. “NEU has developed a differentiated solution to recover battery-grade lithium from LFP feedstock and is now entering a new phase of industrial scale-up, thereby helping build more resilient supply chains.”
“NEU plays a strategic role in the battery value chain, and we remain committed to supporting its growth,” said Hsien-Hui, Head of Investments at SGInnovate.
With the new capital and its newly commissioned plant, NEU will be focusing on scaling production, further reducing production costs, and expanding its network of partners. This next phase builds on an R&D roadmap that has delivered key technical milestones ahead of schedule, providing a strong foundation for the company’s international deployment and continued commercial growth.
After years of subsidized operations, the funds pass to a court-appointed receiver. Settlement includes no admission of wrongdoing and a path to closing the long-overdue funds.
NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2026 — SQN Capital Management, LLC (“SQN”) and Jeremiah Silkowski, its sole remaining partner, have settled a complaint with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and will exit the investment advisory business with an agreement that will result in the wind-down of the firm’s remaining equipment leasing funds. Silkowski voluntarily offered to exit the advisory business, and that offer was accepted as part of the resolution. The complaint resolved by the settlement contains no allegation of misuse of investor funds or of personal benefit from any of the alleged violations.
The SQN funds invested in portfolios of equipment leases, equipment-backed loans, and asset financing arrangements. Investors received regular cash distributions during each fund’s operating period. Together with early liquidation distributions, investors in the two largest SQN funds received back between 51% and 65% of their initial capital. The investments remaining after those distributions were largely residual interests in assets such as marine vessels, which were illiquid with no expected net cash flow until sold or refinanced.
Liquidations were delayed by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and remained delayed for more than five years, during which time SQN subsidized the operations of the remaining funds due to the lack of cash flow coming from the majority of the remaining investments, including the funds’ largest assets. After more than a year of engagement with the Commission, SQN no longer had the resources to support both continued fund management operations and the regulatory compliance required to remain in good standing.
The Commission’s allegations rest in part on the view that SQN overstated investment values by not adjusting the carrying value of fund units after the start of the pandemic. SQN maintained those values based on a series of potential exit opportunities which, for different reasons, failed to materialize. Those efforts are evidenced by a number of actions, including the nearly $20,000,000 distribution made to investors in 2020 as the first phase of the planned liquidation.
Subsequent to that distribution, and as additional evidence of the efforts being undertaken, SQN spent a considerable amount of time and its own resources bringing to market a roll-up transaction that specifically identified the SQN assets for sale to a group of investors representing more than $200 million, put together by an overseas boutique investment advisory firm. The roll-up investment vehicle was registered and partially funded before market dynamics and other matters delayed the consummation of the transaction, at which point the investors fell away. SQN also continued its efforts to market and sell the portfolios to insurance companies, the exit strategy used for SQN’s first two funds, which resulted in IRRs of more than 10% for investors in those funds.
To the extent that the SEC raised concerns that investors may have been disadvantaged by redemptions issued by the funds during the period when the valuations were not adjusted, it should be noted that the cash to fund those redemptions was primarily contributed by SQN as a fund subsidy, out of SQN’s already limited resources. Those redemptions mainly went to investors experiencing extreme hardship, including dual job loss, foreclosure, a seriously sick child, cancer treatment, deceased spouses, Alzheimer’s and elder care, and other tragic life events.
During the period in question, there was no active market in which an investor could, or did, acquire or readily dispose of units in the SQN funds. The funds were illiquid at all points, no secondary market existed, or exists, for the units, and no investor was materially disadvantaged by relying on the information provided by SQN.
“The staff of the SEC are highly competent people carrying out an important public function. The staff handled their undertaking with regard to SQN with diligence and professionalism,” said Jeremiah Silkowski. “Unfortunately, SQN did not have the resources required to adequately respond to all of the SEC’s inquiries, which resulted in adverse findings that otherwise may have been rectified or shown to be incorrect if SQN had sufficient means available. We made the decision to put the funds and their investors first by using the limited resources available to pay the operating expenses of the funds and issue K-1s to investors. Like investors, SQN wants these funds liquidated, and the settlement is a path to this end.”
SQN’s prior history of regulatory fines, which the SEC characterizes as recidivist conduct, began with a dispute with a service provider, led by former partners of SQN, that withheld the books and records of the funds. SQN and Silkowski did not have the resources both to continue subsidizing the operations and liquidation of the funds and to engage in a costly legal dispute to compel the servicer to hand over the records. This matter remains ongoing.
Following the settlement, the fund liquidations will be handed over to a court-appointed receiver. SQN Capital Management will write off all amounts due from and contributed to the funds and will cooperate with the receiver to facilitate the closure of the funds.

FARGO, N.D., Oct. 12, 2026 — Sharp Biomedical, a medical device company pioneering accessible, safe, and manual procedures for outpatient pain clinics, announced today the successful closing of its pre-seed funding round. The round was led by gener8tor 1889, a North Dakota venture capital fund, with participation from several physician angel investors.
Dan Newman, Founder and CEO
The new capital will fully fund the development and testing pathway necessary to bring Sharp Biomedical’s first purpose-built toolset and implant system to market. Designed specifically to fit within the workflow of outpatient pain clinics, the technology provides a critical new option for early-to-mid-stage chronic pain patients.
Sharp Biomedical is pioneering a complementary path forward for the industry, firmly grounded in simple procedures. The company is developing elegant, safe, and entirely manual procedures designed to be completed seamlessly within outpatient facilities. This approach broadens patient access by shifting effective interventions directly into local clinics, all without requiring intensive capital expenditures or massive infrastructure overhauls.
“While the industry is rightfully focused on remarkable advancements in robotics and complex technologies for late-stage spinal care, we see a massive unmet need earlier in the care continuum,” said Dan Newman, Founder and CEO of Sharp Biomedical. “We are thrilled to partner with gener8tor 1889 and our angel investors to finalize our development. This pre-seed funding allows us to empower physicians with simple, safe, and reliable procedures—giving clinics advanced intervention capabilities without the burden of massive capital demands.”
“Dan is an extremely impressive startup founder, and we have built a huge amount of conviction in him and the entire Sharp Biomedical team,” said Ben Stanley, Principal of gener8tor 1889. “Their mission to democratize access to spine care by empowering outpatient clinics with fast, safe, and reliable toolsets is a breath of fresh air in a highly complex industry. We look forward to both the profound impact this technology will have on patient care, along with their continued commitment to growing the North Dakota biotech ecosystem.”
The medical community is also recognizing the clinical potential of Sharp Biomedical’s streamlined approach. “I’m excited to partner with Sharp Biomedical as they fill a vital gap in the market,” said Dr. Danny Neuman, Interventional Pain Specialist, Medical Staff President at Ascentist Healthcare, and advisor to Sharp. “What sets Sharp apart is their intelligent design process, rooted in true collaborative input from physicians to directly address real clinical needs. This partnership will allow us to intervene earlier in the care continuum and offer definitive relief right in the outpatient setting, and their talented team is exceptionally well-positioned to drive these advancements.”
With funding secured, Sharp Biomedical is aggressively moving forward with its rigorous testing protocols and physician input, positioning the company for its next regulatory milestones and the eventual commercial launch of its flagship device.
About Sharp Biomedical Sharp Biomedical is a medical device company focused on creating novel, streamlined toolsets and implants for spinal care. By designing safe, manual procedures that can be performed in less operating time, Sharp Biomedical empowers outpatient pain clinics to treat early-to-mid-stage chronic pain, reducing the industry’s reliance on large hospital infrastructure, robotics, and prolonged operating times.
