Multiliquid Closes Seed Round Led by Polychain with Participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures, Bringing Total Funding to $8 Million

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15, 2026 — Uniform Labs, the developer of Multiliquid, the institutional liquidity protocol for tokenized assets, today announced the close of its seed round led by Polychain, with participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures and Generative Ventures, and Circle Ventures, bringing Multiliquid’s total funding to $8 million.

Tokenized assets, from Treasuries and money market funds to private credit and other real-world assets, represent the fastest-growing frontier in institutional digital finance. However, market adoption remains constrained by traditional primary subscription and redemption cycles that can take days to settle. With federal stablecoin frameworks like the GENIUS Act prohibiting payment stablecoin issuers from paying yield directly to holders, institutions require programmatic rails to rotate between yield-bearing tokenized investments and transactional stablecoins 24/7, at scale, without balance-sheet drag.

Multiliquid delivers that infrastructure. It is a neutral, compliance-first liquidity layer that lets holders swap blue-chip tokenized assets and stablecoins in a single atomic transaction. The protocol supports tokenized funds from premier asset managers, including Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson and Fasanara, as well as major stablecoins, including USDC.

“Tokenization only matters if the assets are actually liquid,” said Will Beeson, Founder and CEO of Multiliquid. “Traditional capital markets rely on deep repo facilities and overnight lending to keep liquidity moving. On-chain finance requires the same institutional plumbing. Having Polychain lead this round, joined by Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures, validates our focus: liquidity and continuous settlement are the next foundational layer for institutional adoption.”

“Tokenized assets have started to gain traction but liquidity remains the bottleneck. Multiliquid is building the connective layer for institutions to move seamlessly between tokenized funds and stablecoins across issuers and venues. Will’s deep experience in this market is unmatched, and we’re excited to back this breakthrough project,” said Olaf Carlson-Wee, Founder of Polychain.

About Multiliquid
Multiliquid is a 24/7 instant settlement platform for tokenized assets, providing continuous, atomic conversion between regulated real-world assets and stablecoins. Founded by veterans of Standard Chartered and UniCredit, Multiliquid enables institutions to eliminate settlement friction across on-chain capital markets. Learn more at multiliquid.xyz.

North.cloud Raises $60M Series B to Unify Spend Intelligence and Enable Full Automation Across Cloud, AI, and Data

North is approaching $2 billion in managed cloud spend and has helped customers save more than $400 million and is trusted by AssemblyAI, Tines, Atlan, SnapLogic, Emplifi and Imply.

NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2026 — North.cloud, the financial operating system for cloud, AI and data, today announced it has closed $60 million in Series B funding. The round was led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from Litquidity Ventures, Companyon Ventures, Alpaca, Uncommon Denominator, Gaingels, and Mana Ventures. North will use the funding to expand autonomous optimization across cloud providers, deepen integrations, accelerate AI spend management, and scale its engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.

As companies expand across Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure while adopting AI services and modern data platforms, infrastructure costs are becoming increasingly interconnected with business growth. In practice, one AI feature can touch several systems at once, making costs harder to predict. Most organizations still manage those costs manually, across separate tools and vendor consoles, leaving engineering and finance teams to piece together fragmented data and make technology investment decisions by hand.

Across nearly $2 billion in managed cloud spend, North has helped customers save more than $400 million. Customers including Assembly AI, Atlan, Tines, SnapLogic, Emplifi, and Imply use North to reduce infrastructure waste, increase compute power per dollar of spend, automate spend intelligence, and drive more sustainable AI adoption.

“In the AI era, there’s a direct line between how efficiently you invest in technology and how smart your product actually is,” said Matt Biringer, CEO and co-founder of North. “North sits inside that stack, automating FinOps in just a few clicks, not a dashboard someone has to interpret. The rest of the market still treats optimization as an engineering problem. We think that’s the wrong bet: it’s a business problem, and it deserves a real fintech platform built on automation and AI, not another tool bolted onto engineering’s plate. North is the first product built to eliminate manual optimization entirely, democratizing FinOps so any company can move faster and run leaner.”

The financing follows the launch of North v3, which expanded the platform to Microsoft Azure, completing coverage across all three major hyperscalers. The release also introduced native integrations with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Snowflake, and extended Autobot, North’s automated commitment laddering engine.

“With North our effective savings rate has held steady at around fifty percent even as our infrastructure has scaled up considerably over the past year,” said Ben Gotthold, Head of Inference at AssemblyAI. “Since partnering with them I haven’t had to think about managing cloud savings. Coverage has grown automatically allowing my team to focus on building for our customers instead of our cloud bill.”

As cloud infrastructure evolves, North is also expanding its platform to address the rapid growth of AI spend. TokenFlow brings model usage, attribution, budgets, and financial controls into the same system companies use to manage cloud infrastructure, reflecting North’s view that these traditionally separate categories are increasingly becoming one financial problem.

“Cloud is where the spend problem started, and AI has only accelerated it, turning infrastructure into the fastest-growing and least-governed line item on the P&L,” said Sanket Merchant, Partner at PeakSpan Capital. “With an estimated 30% of cloud spend wasted, before AI and data costs are even counted, hundreds of billions of dollars that should be fueling growth are lost every year. Our thesis has always been that the winner will not stop at visibility. It will agentically own the entire lifecycle of spend, and North is already doing this. Matt and the team pair a bold vision with the operational rigor to execute on it, and that combination has earned the trust of some of the most innovative, hypergrowth companies in the market. Partnering with founders like Matt is why we do this work. We are grateful for the trust the team has placed in PeakSpan, and we could not be more excited to support them as North builds a consequential business and the category leader. “

“What North has built in product sets the stage for something much bigger than cost optimization: an agentic managed service that does the work of an entire FinOps team, continuously,” said Yaseen Abdulridha, Vice President at PeakSpan Capital. “That surface area was once limited to cloud spend, and it has now expanded dramatically to cover the AI and data platforms every modern business runs on. We are energized by how quickly North has moved to meet that moment, and even more by what it means for customers who will never have to build that team themselves.”

North.cloud was represented by Founders Form, which served as legal counsel on the round.

About North.cloud

North.cloud is the infrastructure spend intelligence and automation platform for modern businesses. North gives finance and engineering teams a single system to understand, optimize, and automate spend across cloud, AI, and data, completely eliminating the need for manual oversight. The company is trusted by AssemblyAI, Atlan, SnapLogic, and Imply, is approaching $2 billion in managed cloud spend, and has helped customers save more than $400 million with a 98.8% retention rate.

Stand Raises $70 Million Series C at $1 Billion Valuation to Make the World’s Homes Resilient Against Natural Disasters

Brings total raised to $130M, former PURE Chief Underwriting Officer joins as President of P&C and former Nephila executive joins as CFO. Total insured value grows 10X to $10B.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15, 2026 — Stand today announced it has raised a $70 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation. The round was led by Saga Ventures with participation from Lowercarbon, Eclipse, Equal Ventures, Inspired Capital, Neotribe, and Jackson Square Ventures, among others. Stand now insures more than $10 billion of property, up from $1 billion a year ago. The company is building toward a single mission: to insure all the world’s resilient property, by making homes safer and thus insurance cheaper.

Disasters are getting bigger and more frequent. A billion-dollar weather disaster now strikes the U.S. every 10 days. For many homeowners, insurance has become expensive, hard to find, and unpredictable. Premiums jump, coverage gets harder to renew, and families are often left scrambling, even when nothing about their home has changed. That’s because insurance is still priced by looking backward at past disasters. Stand believes the answer is physics: simulate how a home will actually perform in a disaster, make it resilient, and insure it with confidence for decades. This means safer homes, cheaper insurance and more durable coverage.

It starts with simulation. The Stand World Model creates a digital representation of every home and simulates how it will perform under fire, wind, and other disasters. It accounts for the home’s construction, its surroundings, and the weather it faces. Instead of waiting decades for history to reveal what works, Stand pulls the future forward. It shows exactly what makes a specific home vulnerable and the most cost-effective ways to protect it.

Stand helps make the home resilient. Stand analyzes a specific home and recommends improvements to increase safety while preserving character. Stand also helps owners do the work: it guides each step, connects them with trusted partners, and confirms completed improvements on their behalf.

Stand insures it for the long run. Resilient homes are less likely to burn in a wildfire, and Stand shares the savings from this reduction in risk with homeowners in the form of discounts of up to 70%. Just as important, they earn stability. Since the properties are resilient to disasters, owners and their brokers can count on highly competitive, stable prices and coverage over time.

“Disasters follow the laws of physics, and insurance should too,” said Dan Preston, co-founder and CEO of Stand. “If your home is resilient, you should be rewarded with a low premium and never have to worry about losing your coverage. We want to insure every resilient property in the world, and help make every property safe.”

Leadership additions

Stand also announced the addition of two senior executives to continue to scale growth.

Drew Saad joins as President of Property & Casualty. He was most recently Chief Underwriting Officer at PURE Insurance, where he led underwriting for one of the country’s leading high-net-worth insurers.

“The companies that reshape a market for decades are the ones that identify a fundamentally better way to understand risk, and Stand has done that for the homes exposed to natural disasters,” said Saad. “With the science already in place, the opportunity now is to build an insurance operation that matches it and scales it to every market that needs it. That is the work I have spent my career preparing for, and it is why I joined Stand.”

Tony Landi joins as Chief Financial Officer. He was most recently Head of Strategic Growth at Nephila, one of the world’s largest fund managers of catastrophe reinsurance. Before that, he was Head of Reinsurance & Capital Management at Openly and Head of Portfolio Management at Everest Re. At Stand, he will lead finance, reinsurance, capital markets, and growth strategy as the company scales.

“What drew me to Stand is the depth of the team, with real experts in physics, underwriting, and product working on the same problem,” said Landi. “My job is to make sure that as Stand grows, the capital is there to support it, from our investors and our reinsurance partners alike. We’ll do that by building diversified, resilient portfolios and matching risk and returns to capital appetite.”

About Stand

Stand protects and insures homes in catastrophe-exposed regions by partnering with homeowners to understand what drives their risk and physically strengthen their properties. Stand underwrites and services policies issued by Concert Specialty Insurance Company (AM Best A-) in California and Stand Insurance Exchange (Demotech A) in Florida, reinsured by AM Best A and A+ reinsurers such as Arch, RenaissanceRe, Hannover, Nephila, and Hiscox. SBG Funding Surpasses $3 Billion in Small-Business Financing, Introduces New Brand: Capital That Keeps Up

Annual originations more than quadrupled from 2022 to 2025 and reached $867 million in the first nine months of 2026; company introduces new brand and website

NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2026 — SBG Funding, a New York City-based small-business financing company, has delivered more than $3 billion in financing to more than 28,000 U.S. small businesses since it was founded in 2017, the company announced today. SBG Funding also introduced a new brand identity, built around the line “Capital That Keeps Up,” and a new website at sbgfunding.com.

The company’s annual originations grew from $7.9 million in its first months of operation in 2017 to $189 million in 2022, $422 million in 2024 and $794 million in 2025. Through September 2026 it originated $867 million, already more than in all of 2025, and it is on pace for $1.15 billion this year. SBG Funding was named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies for the fifth consecutive year in 2026, ranking No. 778.

The new brand puts the company’s mission up front: fast, flexible and responsible capital for the small-business community. SBG Funding works with established companies that have steady revenue, and owners use its financing for needs such as payroll through a slow season or equipment for a new contract.

“Small businesses don’t schedule their opportunities. A contractor wins a bid on Monday and needs equipment by Friday, or a restaurant’s walk-in cooler fails in the middle of July. Capital That Keeps Up is our promise that the money moves as fast as those owners do, and after more than 64,000 transactions, we know what that takes,” said Jeffrey Sachs, founder and CEO of SBG Funding.

The new website is built around how the company works today. Through one application, a business owner can be matched with revenue-based financing, a term loan, a line of credit, equipment or invoice financing, or SBA financing of up to $10 million, with a dedicated adviser handling the file from application to funding. Applying does not affect the owner’s credit score, and decisions typically come within 24 hours.

“When a customer comes back for more capital, their adviser already knows the business. That’s a big reason the second decision is often faster than the first,” said Adam Block, vice president of sales and operations at SBG Funding.

About SBG Funding

SBG Funding is a New York City-based small-business financing company serving businesses across all 50 U.S. states. Since 2017, it has delivered over $3 billion in financing to more than 28,000 U.S. small businesses. SBG Funding is a direct provider of revenue-based financing and a marketplace offering a broad range of funding solutions through an extensive network of lenders.

SBG Funding is led by Jeffrey Sachs, founder and CEO. Its mission is to provide fast, flexible and responsible capital to the small-business community. Customers have come back for more than 64,000 transactions in total, which the company credits to fast decisions and advisers who understand how small-business cash flow works.

SBG Funding’s products include revenue-based financing, term loans, lines of credit, equipment financing, invoice financing and SBA financing up to $10 million. The company serves small businesses across many industries, with concentrated activity in construction, manufacturing, medical and health care, retail, food and beverage, and trucking and transportation. Relevance Ventures Expands Platform, Names James Carey Managing Partner of Relevance Capital

NASHVILLE, Tenn., October 15, 2026 — Relevance Ventures (“Relevance”), one of the only independently owned Native American venture capital firms in the United States, today announced the expansion of its platform under the Relevance Capital brand to support established companies through a funded independent sponsor model. James Carey, a veteran private equity investor, joins as Managing Partner of Relevance Capital.

“Our venture strategy remains unchanged, but James gives us the experience and relationships to capitalize on lower-middle-market opportunities using an independent sponsor model,” said Cameron Newton, Managing Partner of Relevance Ventures. “We’ve listened carefully to the market and to our LPs, and this is a natural evolution of the Relevance platform. At the same time, the independent sponsor structure gives our investors greater choice through select co-investments in businesses with established revenue, profitability, and operating histories.”

Relevance Capital will pursue a new growth equity strategy focused on more established, profitable health companies operating within the broader Relevance platform. Carey will lead its investment activity, targeting companies that typically generate approximately $1 million to $15 million of EBITDA with established operations and clear opportunities for continued growth, extending Relevance’s reach later into the growth journey, while Relevance Ventures continues its existing venture focus on companies generating $1 million to $10 million in revenue with scalable solutions, large TAMs, and clear paths to profitability.

Relevance Capital will benefit from a differentiated competitive advantage through its ability to pursue new investments with a portion of the equity capital already committed through the broader Relevance network, providing greater transaction certainty, execution speed, and flexibility. Relevance Capital will identify and underwrite individual transactions and assemble additional capital around select opportunities. The approach complements Relevance’s traditional fund investing, giving its investor network access to later-stage co-investment opportunities on a deal-by-deal basis, offering more discretion to choose which opportunities to join and cultivated with the discipline of a firm that has deliberately stayed small.

“The lower middle market has always been compelling to me because you are working with real businesses at meaningful inflection points,” said Carey. “These companies have established customers, revenue, and profitability, but often reach a point where the right capital partner can help accelerate growth, pursue acquisitions or enter the next phase of the business. Relevance Capital gives us the flexibility to find those companies first and build the right investment structure around each opportunity.”

“This is an extension of something we have been doing naturally for years,” said Dean Newton, Chairman and General Partner of Relevance Ventures. “James allows us to institutionalize our capabilities and take it into the broader lower middle market. What is particularly interesting is combining an established venture platform and LP network with the flexibility of the independent sponsor model. We think that is a differentiated place to operate and a unique value proposition.”

Carey joins Relevance from Next Sparc Growth Partners, the single-family office of entrepreneur Len Pagon, where he served as Partner and Head of M&A. He brings more than 20 years of private markets experience across private equity, growth investing, and transaction sourcing and execution, including significant time at global private equity firm H.I.G. Capital, along with deep relationships across the lower-middle-market private equity and intermediary communities.

“South Florida has become a very different investment market over the last five years,” Carey added. “Miami is now the leading market in America for private capital, with private equity firms, family offices, hedge funds, entrepreneurs and operating companies continuing to build a presence here. I’ve spent my professional career in this market, and I’m excited to firmly cement Relevance into that ecosystem while executing Relevance Capital’s strategy on a national basis.”

Carey will be based in South Florida, where Relevance also plans to establish a physical presence in Miami, further extending its geographic growth beyond Nashville, Charlotte, and Denver. Carey has lived and worked in South Florida for more than two decades and brings extensive relationships across the region’s private equity, investment banking, professional services, and business communities.

ORANGE JUICE Names Former NVIDIA AI Platform Veteran Elias Martinez Cohen Chief Technology Officer

Martinez Cohen will lead a shared technology team serving every ORANGE JUICE company; the company also reports more than 150 acquisition opportunities since its July launch.

WESTPORT, Conn., Oct. 15, 2026 — ORANGE JUICE (www.orangejuice.com), a permanent capital company backed by a Bitcoin treasury, today announced that Elias Martinez Cohen has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer. Martinez Cohen will build and lead a central technology team to serve every business ORANGE JUICE acquires, giving small and mid-sized companies engineering and AI capabilities typically accessible only to the largest enterprises.

For nearly eight years, Martinez Cohen served as a staff-level Senior System Software Engineer at NVIDIA, where he built the data pipelines and workflow platforms behind its self-driving program. He led the program’s AI storage platform team, helped double the capacity of its AI work queues and reduced the time required for data ingestion by an order of magnitude.

Martinez Cohen has worked in AI since 2013, when he joined Madbits, a deep-learning startup co-founded by Clément Farabet, now VP of Research at Google DeepMind. Twitter acquired Madbits in 2014 to form Twitter Cortex, its AI group, where Martinez Cohen helped build Twitter’s core machine-learning platform alongside a small, dedicated team. Former colleagues now build AI systems at Google DeepMind, OpenAI, and Anthropic.

“What’s technically possible today is far ahead of what most businesses actually use, and that gap keeps widening,” said Martinez Cohen. “A holding company can close it, because one technical team can serve many businesses and every win makes the next one cheaper. We’re not here to automate away people. We’re going after the drudgery.”

“Owners shouldn’t have to navigate the AI transition alone,” said Ruben Zweiban, operating partner of ORANGE JUICE. “Founders who join us gain Elias’ capability and expertise on day one, without giving up the identity of the business they built.”

Because ORANGE JUICE buys businesses with strong existing economics and never needs to sell them, it treats technology as upside and can invest in it for the long term.

Martinez Cohen’s essay, “Why I Left NVIDIA for ORANGE JUICE,” is available here.

Continued Momentum Since Launch

ORANGE JUICE launched in July 2026 after closing a Series A funding round of more than $40 million from investors including anchor investor Ricardo Salinas, founder and chairman of Grupo Salinas, and Tim Reynolds. The company was founded by ego death capital partners Jeff Booth, Lyn Alden, Nico Lechuga, and Andi Pitt, along with Adrian Steckel and Ruben Zweiban. Since the close, the company has received tens of millions of dollars in additional unsolicited investor interest, reflecting continued demand for the ORANGE JUICE model.

ORANGE JUICE has received more than 150 acquisition opportunities since launch. These opportunities span essential business services, healthcare services, and manufacturing, with adjusted EBITDA generally ranging from approximately $2 million to more than $15 million. The majority of qualified opportunities have originated organically through ORANGE JUICE’s inbound network, confirming growing interest in its alternative permanent-capital model.

He previously served as Senior Managing Director and Head of ATM Trading at B. Riley Securities, where he oversaw ATM trading operations. We plan to accomplish this objective by providing superior equity research, sales and trading to both our issuer clients and institutional buyers.
